THE SURVIVING QUESTIONS

1. IN ONE SENTENCE, HOW WOULD YOU DEFINE WHAT YOU DO?

I am a rationalist. I try to give ceramics a functional meaning that all my designs would be carefully thought through.

2. WHAT DID YOU LEARN THANKS TO YOUR HANDS?

Working with your hands loosens the mind.

 3. IF YOU HAD TO CONVINCE A TEENAGER TO FOLLOW YOUR PATH, WHAT WOULD YOU SAY?

To get to know ceramics it needs patience but at the same time it gives you a lot of  opportunities to play.

THE SURVIVING STORY

Üllo comes from a family of artists-designers who surely influenced him ever since childhood. He attended childrens art school where he developed some sort of addiction to clay. So growing up there was no question about what to study when the time to go to University came. After graduation he’s now working with clay every day in his own studio and in a studio that he shares with other ceramists.
