What we do

What we do at Surviving Hands is:

  • create an international network of artisans and artists;

  • storytelling and writing;

  • project management and development;

  • photography and video making;

  • workshops and meetings.

We are a team of people who share a great passion for art, culture and tradition. We work together to build the first hands database and our main goal is to share your story with the world, to show them how important is what you do to ensure a more human oriented future. This is how we work:

howweworkOnce we get in contact with you we schedule our meeting. The location is your home, your workshop or, in other words, where you create.

The Surviving Session is the most important part for us since we get to meet you, interview and picture your hands at work. We will do our best not to disturb the creative process, nor we will ask for any particular setting: you have to be spontaneous and natural.

Once the Surviving Session is done the reviewing and publishing part begins: we’ll take care of it, soon your hands will be officially part of the survivinghands.com network.

Please fill in a formal request to receive a pdf copy of the Surviving Hands Project Brief and we’ll be glad to send it to you.

Surviving Hands is non-profit organization based on volunteering. The official language is English.
